"Music Heals, Let's Play!"
To all violinists of all ages: Play a piece that you love and upload your video, to win a violin.
How to enter
1. Video record you playing a piece or an excerpt that you love on your violin, with piano accompaniment or solo, along with a short description explaining your choice of piece. The video must be in landscape orientation and not exceed 2 minutes in length.
2. Choose your age group
•Age Group 1: 4-7 Years old
•Age Group 2: 8-10 Years Old
•Age Group 3: 11 Years and above
3. Post your performance video on Facebook with your description following this template . (If the participant is under 18 years of age, the video is to be posted on social media by the parent or teacher.)

4. Select “Public” in Audience, otherwise, the submission will be invalid.

•One Winner prize: A 1/2 size violin by Dynasty Violins worth HK$8,000
•One Video with most “Like” prize: A 1/2 sized violin by Dynasty Violins worth HK$4,000

Judging Criteria
•Musicianship (Intonation, rhythmic sense, tone production, musicality)
•Ensembleship (If you are playing with piano accompaniment)
•How well the performance and your choice of music conveys the idea of “Music heals”.
(The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.)
Deadline
The Video must be posted and application form completed and sent by 23:59 Hong Kong Time on 30 April, 2022 (Saturday).
Result
•The announcement of the winners will be posted on our website www.dynastyviolins.com and www.facebook.com/dynastyviolinshk no later than 31 May, 2022.
•All prizes are to be claimed from Dynasty Violins shop only, before 30 June, 2022.

Important information
•We welcome performance of music in any style and genre.
•Video orientation: Landscape
•Continuous video: Your performance must run continuously from beginning to end, no editing is allowed.
•Video framing: The entire violin and the bow should be in frame throughout the video. The face of the violinist and the accompaniment pianist (if applicable) should be visible throughout the video.
•Audio recording: Any noticeable editing of the audio recording will greatly reduce the chance of winning.
• Announcement: The violinist should begin the video by announcing his/her full name, and the piece he/she is about to play. The video does not qualify to compete without the announcement.
•Title of the video: Videos must be titled as follows on Facebook: “Dynasty Violins Music Heals Violin Competition [Full name of the violinist]”; all words should be separated by a space, e.g. “Dynasty Violins Music Heals Violin Competition Chan Hiu Yin”.
•Description of the video: Videos without the required descriptions do not qualify for competition.
•Select audience: When you upload the video to Facebook, you must select “Public” in the “edit audience” settings.
If any other option is selected, your submission will be invalid. The performance video link must be valid to view until 30 June, 2022.
•Online entry form: Once the video has been uploaded to Facebook as described above, the official competition online entry form https://forms.gle/rteMpnTE4urMrctJ8 must be filled out and submitted. It must contain the video link. Only then is the entry submission for the competition completed.
•Confirmation of successful entries will be sent via E-mails within 7 days of application received.
•Parental consent: The competition online entry form must be filled in and submitted with the parents’ or guardian’s consent.
•In the event of any disputes, Dynasty Violins reserves the right of final decision.
